Diablo 3 Tomes

Diablo 1 was replete with Tomes, each instrumental in winning a different type of quest.  Blizzard has carried on the idea of Tomes into Diablo 3. Now, players have to collect five Pages of Training which will then combine to form a Tome of Training which can be used to train Artisans. Blizzard’s decision of removing quest-related and portal-like Tomes simplifies Diablo 3. This website is your definitive source to everything related to Diablo 3 Tomes.

Diablo 3 Tomes Timeline

Blizzard’s interest in keeping Diablo 3 Tomes seems to be dwindling. The original Diablo had fifteen Tomes. Found in the labyrinths beneath Tristram, these were indispensible in quests. The number of Tomes reduced to four in Diablo 2. Diablo 3 has just two Tomes- Pages of Training and the Tome of Training. No longer useful for quests, Diablo 3 Tomes are training materials for the Non Playing Class (NPC) Artisan.

Meet the Diablo 3 Tomes!

Pages of Training – These appear as pieces of parchment with words and diagrams inscribed on them. There is a red dot on the top left corner of the Pages of Training which make them instantly noticeable even when you are speed leveling in Diablo 3. On combining 5 pages of training, a Tome of Training shall be created which is used to train Mystics, Jewelers and Blacksmiths. Pages of Training are available from Level 1. You can stack a maximum of 100 Pages of Training.

Tomes of Training- When five Pages of Training are combined, a Tome of Training is formed. The icon appears as a thick old book positioned at an angle. You can take a Tome of Training to an Artisan to train him/her. Click on the Train tab of your chosen Artisan and the wisdom of the book will train him/her into creating higher value items and other special abilities. These are also valid from Level 1 and have a maximum stackable limit of 20.

Before you begin to expect leveling speed or success in Diablo 3, you must understand the blueprint of the game.  Due to introduction of two auction houses, Diablo 3′s economy is competitive as never before. Crafting higher value items by using Diablo 3 Tomes is the key to staying rich in the game.
